SERVING-N-TIME's mission is to empower the community by allowing them to participate in the rehabilitation of prisoners through correspondence.
Our goal is to connect prisoners and the free society. The view point is that most prisoners will be released at some point in their lives and return back to communities all around the country if not the world. They will be seeking employment, housing, and more important, a support system to encourage them through the complicated times that will occur.
Through this website we have created an opportunity for members of the community to become mentors, friends, support systems, or simply just pen pals. Prison is indeed a very lonely place. The majority of prisoners have been abandoned by their loves ones, which leaves many with a grimmer view of how successful they can be when they are released. Being a penpal can inspire all kinds of hopes; help create plans of success and self-worth. One of the biggest things that can come from being a pen pal is making your very own community safe by helping change a life that will never commit a crime again. This act of kindness has the potential to reduce crime.
